The Jefferson County Commission wanted an innovative tool to engage stakeholders in a corridor planning process along US Route 340 between Charles Town and Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

Company Profile

MetroQuest is owned and developed by Vancouver, BC based Envision Sustainability Tools Inc. The roots of the software can be traced back to the University of British Columbia, and a large, interdisciplinary research project focused on exploring, understanding and communicating sustainability.

In the early days our efforts were focused on developing integrated computer models, as well as learning how to bridge the gap between the general public and decision-makers by pioneering methods for representing complex information and counter-intuitive issues in easy-to-understand ways.

Throughout our entire 14 years, we have continued to improve MetroQuest and our supporting professional services with the aim of helping clients create broad-based support for their planning initiatives.

Traditional MetroQuest clients have included innovative planning agencies, cities and regional governments around the world.

Looking to the future, we will be focusing on providing software and supporting services to planning, architecture and engineering firms that are themselves leaders in stakeholder engagement, and provide those and other services to public sector organizations.
